Taste the Rainbow

I've completed one sewing project for this summer so far.

I've had this fabric collecting dust in a trunk for two years now. When I was originally gifted this fabric I thought it was ugly and had no idea what to do with it. In the process of creating this shirt my original thoughts and feelings about this fabric changed. I began to see its beauty.

My goal for this outfit was to not include any black. I often use black as a filler for my outfits when I don't really know what to pair something with. You know as they say "Black goes with everything."

Although my inspiration for creating the shirt wasn't really inspired by anything in particular. The outfit as a whole gives off a 60's flower child and 70's disco theme. The colors and ruffles of the shirt give off that hippie vibe while the bell bottoms and platform shoes are most definitely 70's inspired.

Shirt: Made by me
Pants: Revice
