Music... what will we be able to do without it.

Put on a pair of headphones and play some music and you can block out the world. 

I'm going to start doing this new thing where every time at the end of the month I give you my playlist of the songs I have had on repeat for that month.

I'm also going to share with you guys some of the new music artists I discover for that month.

My music, similar to my style, is pretty diverse. One day I'll be listening to old school R&B and the next day I'll be listening to Rock music. So, I'm sure there will be something that everyone can relate to!

Now for this month's new music artists, I recently came upon this guy named Masego on my Spotify Discovery Playlist and instantly loved his style. His beats are trap house with an influence of jazz. With his sax and scatting (lovingly called trap house jazz and trap scat) that can be heard in his Pink Polo EP.  He also has relatable lyrics, his songs often having some type of message whether it be, being in the moment and having fun, or breaking through that tired old sound and message hip hop culture has been doing for years.  Check out his Soundcloud.

Another music artist that I recently came upon is Khalid. I'm not sure whether I found him through Spotify or Soundcloud. Either way, his voice combined with the chill laid back beats is an ice cream sundae on a hot day to my ears. If you just want to vibe his music is for you. Check out his Soundcloud.

This is the bell the Vietnam War protestors gathered around on May 4, 1970 now known as the Kent State Massacre. 

For some reason Kent State idolizes the black squirrels that inhabit the campus, its almost like a second mascot.

This is our rock that different organizations spray paint with whatever they want (school appropriate of course.)

My home for the next four years, Kent State Fashion School!! A.K.A Rockwell Hall. 

This outfit is crazy trendy, it's weird because I'm usually not the trendy type. 

But, I have on an off the shoulder shirt (trend), with the tie up detail (trend), with a button down A-line skirt (trend), in the color olive (trendy color), with my fake Birkenstocks (trend). This outfit might as well have come straight off of Forever 21 clothing racks.

So, tell me why the day after I bought this bag from JC Pennys or Macys, one of those big stores, the strap broke. Mind you the bag retail price was about $70 -$80 but, it was on sale for like $35. Thought it was cute, convinced mom to buy it, and broke. Mom was mad, I was mad, I thought super glue would be an easy fix, I was wrong. Moral of the story, buy good quality bags.

I bought this Jumpsuit from H&M and it was the only one hanging on the rack. I saw the price tag and my jaw dropped. $50, the price tag said, I was debating whether it was worth the money. I tried it on to see how it fit, and to see if it fit the length of my legs (since I'm tall and all pants are high waters). My grandma was with me and she was like "It's really pretty, it looks good on you, you should get it." But, the price had me so conflicted, obviously I ended up buying it, but I probably put it back on the rack and then picked it back up again twice before I finally bought it. At least now I can say I have no regrets, and I received plenty of compliments.

The pants are actually not meant to be tapered like they are in the picture above. They are actually loose flowing. But, I washed them and then the pant legs shrunk a little bit and then the floods came in. So, I kind of 'fake tapered' them myself, a trick I learned from my friend Seth. I liked the results and it kept my legs a little bit cooler on that hot day. 

You can't say this hat isn't bomb. After all, aren't we all apart of the Anti Social Social Club.
