Summer sewing project part five!
I finally made something that wasn't a top!
When I was showing my mom's boss some of the things I have made he asked "Do you only ever make tops?"
The answer is no, I do not, but for me pants take a little bit more time to engineer than tops.
Most of my summer sewing projects so far have been upcycled but these pants are not. I'm not sure who I received this fabric from but, I am sure that I got it a long time ago so now I am happy that I finally go to make it in to something.
For these pants I was inspired by the earth tones of the fabric and wanted to create a loose fitting pant that was kind of bohemian looking. Also decided to add some ruffles to the pants because, it just seemed right. Especially since everything I've created this summer I'm pretty sure has at least some ruffles and ruches.
I decided to pair these pants with my denim crop top and some simple sandals so that the pants can draw most of the attention.
