Summer sewing project part four.

This is another prom dress redo. After creating the first shirt I made out of my old prom dress I still had quite a bit of fabric left so I decided to make another top.

Now, I know what you're thinking, all this girl ever makes is tops when is she going to make a dress, a skirt, some pants, or something. Well if you are thinking that I got you guys but, you are going to have to stay tuned to Tales of a Lame.

I think I may have mentioned this in another summer sewing post but I have been really in to asymmetry.  That was my main inspiration for creating this top. One sleeve, off the shoulder, with one strap. It's asymmetrical but visually there is still balance.

I did encounter some trouble in creating this shirt and I think I want to make it again and make it better. Maybe I will recreate it in a future school project or something.

So I decided to go full girly with this look. Which is really unlike me if you've been following my blog for a while you know exactly what I'm talking about. This top felt soft and feminine to me which is why I decided to pair it with this black pleated skirt. But, I think that you could also pair this top with a cool pair of pants and some sexy boots in order to rough up the look a little bit.

Shirt: Made by me
Skirt: Thrift, Similar
