Summer Sewing: Part 4

By Imani Johnson - September 07, 2017

This is the last and final piece I made over the summer.

This shirt was made out of an old skirt that my mom hadn't worn in years.
I deconstructed it and came up with this.

I wish I had taken before pictures of what the pieces looked like before I upcylced them so that you guys could have seen the transformation. But, I was just so eager to start working on the projects I forgot to take the pictures.

Although, I've worn this shirt quite a bit when it was warmer out, I don't really think it's my style. It may be a little too pretty for me or maybe I'm just not used to seeing myself in these pastel, subdued colors.

Im sure some of you may have noticed that all I made was tops. Which, I honestly didn't even realize until I was writing these posts. I knew that I didn't have enough fabric to create pants or a jacket so that was out. But, I did have enough to create tops, shorts, or skirts but, for some reason I was inspired to make all tops. I didn't mean for that to happen it just kind of naturally happened that way.

But, you guys tell me which one was your favorite?

The Outfit:
